Although we are in a quiet location access is easy. There is a mainline railway station in Truro  about nine miles from us and this links to a branch line and the stations of Perranwell and Penryn are about three miles away. A taxi from there to us is the best bet but we would be willing to collect you if that is a help. National Express runs regular buses to Truro and Falmouth, there are local buses to Mylor but they are not very frequent and the village is still a a ten minute walk away.

Restronguet Barton Farm. Restronguet Barton, Falmouth, Cornwall, TR11 5SP
map_1
map_2The best way to find us by road is from the A39 Truro to Falmouth road. Heading from Truro follow the signs for Falmouth and the A39. Stay on this road for about five miles, you will travel along a short stretch of dual carriageway after which you will wind your way along the road through trees and alongside a tidal creek or river. You will pass the Norway Inn pub on your right, go about a mile past this and the road opens out to three lanes. Turn left here, you will see a sign showing “Mylor” and “Restronguet”, take this road which heads up hill through trees.

At the top of the hill you will come to a crossroads and a giveway sign, bear left – again Restronguet is signposted. Travel along this road for about a mile and a half and there is then a fork in the road, bear left at this fork. The sign showing Restronguet Barton is on a small triangle of grass at this junction. Carry straight on along this road, through a crossroads until you come to a sharp lefthand bend with a cow sign and bend symbol one above the other. Go round this sharp bend and you have reached Restronguet Barton. The two holiday cottages are facing you.

The caravan site is down the road that goes off to your right just after the bend. Chybean is just thirty metres down the hill on the right after the bend, pull into the small grassy yard just the downhill side of the cottage. Chyvounder is about five metres along the small side road to the right after the bend. There is a small garden gate with the “Chyvounder” on it and a wide gateway that opens to the drive beside it.

Matthew Dale lives Resuggan House, just a little further down the hill on the right and Paul Dale lives just below him on the right in Bosoughan Barn. Please call in on either of us if we can help with anything or if you want to pay for staying at the caravan site.

If you are coming from Falmouth then take the road to Mylor Bridge from the old main road that runs along the bottom of Penryn. Go all the way to Mylor Bridge, drive straight up through the village past all the shops, continue up the hill out of the village until you reach a giveway at a crossroads. Turn right here and it will take you to the farm as above. From the west, if you come up the A30 then once again get onto the A39 and follow the directions above.

If you come from the Helston direction either head to the bottom of Penryn and follow the directions through Mylor as above – the safest option – or head towards Truro on the A39 and turn right at the bottom of the hill at the threelaned point. This is an easy and safe junction when coming from Truro but when heading east there are two fast lanes to cross and cars come down the hill from behind quite fast – take care if coming to us this way.

If you find yourself lost within a mile or two of Restronguet Barton then please call us and we will guide you here. Alternatively ask for directions, all the natives are friendly and just ask for “the Dales at Restronguet”, we have been here a long time and are very much a local fixture.
