Weddings at Restronguet Barton
Two incredible locations to choose from, Restronguet Barton provides spaces for marquee weddings with water views.
At Restronguet we are able to offer an almost unique wedding reception. There are other places that offer facilities for weddings, but it is the location and the view that are unique to our fields.
We have a choice of two sites, each being situated at the top of a field that overlooks the Fal Estuary or Carrick Roads and the countryside beyond. The breathtaking vistas can be seen from nowhere else. There are no roads or paths that offer the same view and this same exclusivity also provides the privacy that is so important on your big day. The site is exclusively yours for the day.
Both sites are sheltered from the prevailing wind by a Cornish hedge topped with old oak trees. The views are uninterrupted as the field drops away out in front of the site, it catches the sun right through to the evening until dusk when the far shore of the Carrick Roads takes on an orange glow. If your dates coincide with the right part of the lunar cycle the moon then rises over the eastern banks of the estuary.
Both sites can accommodate the largest marquee and there is ample parking. We do ask that music and partying must finish by midnight. We do not want to be damp squibs about celebrations but we do not want to upset the neighbourhood.
Each site is available from the time the marquee is erected, allowing access for setting up and decorations, with Sunday available for the clearing away.
We own two holiday cottages on the farm, Chybean (sleeps 2) and Chyvounder (Sleeps 5) available to rent for those who have guests coming from far away. Please note that the cottages are generally rented for holidays, so at peak times will need to be booked for the full week, from Friday to Friday. We find many of our couple’s friends and families make the most of the opportunity to enjoy a week’s stay and make a holiday of the occasion. There are other holiday lets nearby that also operate the same policy at peak times, plus a couple of B&Bs, plus all the Hotels and Guesthouses in Falmouth.

Should you have a caravan, and be a member of the Caravan Club, we also have a small 5 van CL caravan site, which can also be booked for families and guests.
We enjoy the spot where we live and never tire of the views and we would be delighted to share it with you for your big day.
Cost
We have 2 sites available, both with stunning views. The prices are for 2024 . ‘The Kibbin’ has mains power and is available for £1600 including VAT, whilst ‘Ladies Close’, where a generator is needed, is available for £1400. The Kibbin
Incredible estruary views, located in a beautiful field down a private lane.
‘The Kibbin’ is accessed from the road by a clean and well maintained farm track that runs along the edge of a field. We provide three phase mains electricity complete with 13amp, 16 amp and 32 amp sockets for lighting, bands or discos and cooking. Mains water is also laid on and both power and water are included in the tariff.
Ladies Close
Views as far as the eye can see, Ladies Close is a magical spot for a wedding.
Our other site, ‘Ladies Close’ also has mains water, but power needs to be provided b a generator, which can easily be hired as part of the package through the marquee company you choose to use.
